Extension Care

Your Coastal Crown extensions are crafted from premium 100% human hair — designed for lasting beauty when cared for properly. Follow these simple steps to keep your crown looking soft, shiny, and luxurious:

Washing • Brush extensions gently before washing to remove any tangles. • Use a sulfate-free shampoo and moisturizing conditioner. • Rinse with cool to lukewarm water, keeping the hair flowing in one direction. • Smooth shampoo and conditioner downward — never rub or twist the hair.

Drying • Pat dry gently with a towel (avoid rough rubbing). • Apply a light leave-in conditioner or serum to maintain hydration. • Air dry when possible, or blow dry on low heat. • Always ensure bonds or wefts are fully dry to maintain their integrity.

Styling • Always use a heat protectant spray before using hot tools. • Keep styling tools at or below 180°C / 350°F. • Avoid direct heat on keratin bonds or weft seams. • Style as you would your natural hair — curl, straighten, or wave freely.

Brushing • Use a brush or wide-tooth comb designed for extensions. • Start at the ends and work upward, supporting the bonds as you go. • Brush 2–3 times per day to prevent tangling.

Sleeping • Before bed, tie your hair in a loose braid or ponytail. • Sleep on a silk or satin pillowcase to reduce friction and frizz.

Swimming & Activities • Avoid saltwater and chlorine when possible. • If swimming, apply leave-in conditioner and braid hair or wear a swim cap. • Rinse and condition immediately after swimming.

Maintenance • Book a professional adjustment or removal every 4–10 weeks, depending on your method. • Use only extension-safe products, avoiding oils or heavy creams near the attachment areas.

Pro Tip: Treat your Coastal Crown extensions like your own hair — the better you care for them, the longer your crown will shine
